**Purpose**:
Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Fundraising and Marketing will lead the development and implementation of SAFE’s fundraising, marketing, communications, and supporter engagement strategies.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Strategy, financial planning, budget management and reporting
- Raising $2m in funds to fulfil the organisation’s strategic goals and growth targets
- Relationship building
- Marketing, brand, communications and PR; print, digital and events
- Analysis and insights
- Team leadership; 4 direct reports

**We are looking for someone who has the following experience**:

- Excellent knowledge of fundraising and marketing campaign planning and implementation
- Demonstrated experience of managing a high performing team
- A proven track record of delivering on the full fundraising mix (individual giving, donor acquisition and retention, sponsorship, major gifts, bequests and grants)
- Ability to gather and interpret data to make data driven decisions

SAFE is looking for someone who has a minimum of five years in a senior fundraising, marketing or communications role in a charity, with a track record of leading a growing range of income streams.

You will need to align with the goals and objectives of SAFE, be relentlessly positive and an innovator; inspiring your team to create fundraising messages that capture the imagination of donors. Organisational fit is paramount (SAFE has a total staff of 16) as is having an effective and empowering leadership style. The salary is circa $115k and working from the Wellington office or remotely from other areas will be considered.
