Mō tēnei tūranga | About this role
The Manager Performance and Delivery will take a leading role in building and maintaining sustainable long-term supplier relationships that deliver public value for the Ministry. They will also maintain oversight of, and manage all other funding arrangements, that deliver school transport assistance. In particular, the Manager Performance and Delivery will develop a robust supplier relationship management strategy and drive public value through proactive management and ownership of the entire contract lifecycle. The Manager Performance and Delivery will mentor and build capability across the Performance and Delivery team, including SESTA management and data analytics and reporting, and implement revised processes as appropriate across the business. Mōhou ake | About you
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector. You will also offer:

- Proven experience in relationship management, particularly in support of commercial management, strategic procurement and system and process development in a transport context, in government or the private sector.
- Highly developed supplier relationship management expertise, ideally providing thought leadership across the whole commercial and funding lifecycle.
- Proven ability in influencing and providing operational advice to a range of senior stakeholders in the public and private sectors.
- To be highly experienced in the provision of operational management in a relevant area (in the public sector and / or similar to the Ministry's School Transport services).
- Demonstrated ability to identify and effectively manage risks to minimise impact on desired outcomes.

At Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga, we work to provide services and support nationally, regionally and locally to the education sector, and in some cases, directly to ākonga and whanau.
