We are looking for an innovative and passionate scientist to join our Food Solutions Team to cover a 7-month period of maternity leave.

**What you will be doing | Ngā whāinga matua**
With a degree in food technology, and at least 2 years' experience, you will support new product development projects and processing and formulation trials focused on food, feed, bakery and beverage products at laboratory, pilot plant and industry scale. This position provides an exciting opportunity for someone wanting to gain experience in project management while further developing experience in process and product development within a multi-disciplinary R&D team.
**What you will bring | Ngā tino pūkenga me ngā wheako**
- A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. preferably BFoodTech, BFood Science, BE, MFoodTech, MFood Science, ME or equivalent) in food product development and processing, food technology or food engineering
- Experience in using pilot
- Experience in the management and analysis of food product development, systems, and processing unit operations.
- Experience in experimental design, statistical analysis and scientific or technical report writing.
- Understanding of food safety principles and practices with experience in the management of health and safety policies and guidelines to support of lab and pilot plant R&D processes and new product development (NPD).
- Familiar with the FSANZ, NZFSA food regulations and NZ GAP (Good Agricultural Practices).
