**The Role**

We are seeking a Technologist to join a professional and engaged team in our Palmerston North based facility

Reporting to the New Product Development Manager your responsibilities will include
- Process development and implementation of new and novel beverage products
- Supporting the development of pilot plant and commercial processes across business needs
- Development and design of new and novel processing techniques to support formulated beverages and Specialty ingredients
- Understanding & ensuring continuous improvement of dairy knowledge and technical processing needs
- Reporting to internal & external stakeholders to support ongoing development and a wider portfolio of products

This role will suit an innovative team player whose ideas will be listened to in this proactive research focussed environment.

**Skills and Experience**

This role may offer flexible work times and free car parking and be a part of a very innovative and collaborative team.

To be considered for this position will require
- A tertiary qualification in Food/Dairy Science or Technology
- Experience in Food/Dairy Technology in a commercial environment
- Dairy process knowledge and operational experience
- Customer focused attention to detail
- The ability to work at pace with pride and quality

Food / Dairy chemistry experience is highly regarded in this role as is knowledge of HACCP and RMP process. Experience with UHT and/or Membrane Processing will also be highly valued.
