We are seeking an experienced academic to lead and co-ordinate our current and future teaching and education programmes nationally. This is a key leadership role, and you will also be expected to have a small teaching workload within Te Tohu Paetahi Ako - Bachelor of Education (Teaching) programme.

As National Programme Co-ordinator - Education, you will be responsible for academic programme quality including oversight of student evaluations, changes to the programmes and resources, reporting on outcomes and ensuring that students receive regular and helpful feedback. You will also have input to the review and development of current and future teaching and education programmes.

This position currently manages 7 direct reports located in Whakatāne, Tāmaki Makaurau and Whangārei.
- A minimum of a relevant Master’s degree in Education or relevant field.
- Teacher registration and a teaching qualification
- Demonstrated success in leadership at a senior level
- At least 5 years minimum Primary teaching experience.
- Proven experience in monitoring NZQA accredited programmes
- A record of research
- Experience in educational quality improvement and quality assurance
- Proven experience and ability to engage with iwi and other external groups.

Knowledge of tīkanga Māori and at least an intermediate level of Te Reo Māori skills is required; fluency in Te Reo is desired.
