**Mō te tūranga | About the role
- Responsible for leading the development and oversight of public transport procurement processes.
- Procurement activities include and are not limited to: public transport services, systems and software, customer support, and consultancy services.
- Negotiate agreements and services which get a fair deal for council and meet its objectives.
- Monitor and analyse network performance to identify improvements.
- Develop and maintain fare products, schedules, and business rules.
- Continuous improvement of the Waikato’s public transport systems.
- Development and implementation of effective contract management.

- As part of the Public Transport team, you will work closely with the Team Leader for Operations, Team Leader of Customer Focus, and the Public Transport Manager.
**Mō ngā pūkenga | Qualifications and experience**
- Relevant degree qualification in legal, transport planning, land use planning, policy, environmental management or similar.
- Minimum of seven years’ experience with 5 years in a similar role or equivalent.
