We are currently seeking to employ **a Senior Contract Manager - Customer Delivery** to our team based in **Wellington**. In this role, you will lead the Distribution Estimating Capital Works Project Team, overseeing estimation, approval, and delivery of Capital Works and Customer Projects. The role also involves pursuing new business opportunities and managing relationships with customers, regulatory authorities, and industry partners.

- Oversee the Capital Works Program to enhance network reliability, including work pack creation, estimation, client approvals, and progress reporting.
- Streamline customer project processes by collaborating with customers and developers.
- Approve design and tender packages before submission.
- Lead the estimating team to deliver high-quality services.
- Recruit, train, develop, and mentor staff.
- Pursue new business opportunities through networking and contract negotiations.
- Report on project opportunities and advise on tenders to align with financial goals.
- Manage relationships with regulatory authorities and industry partners.
- Oversee the update of new network assets in SAP and GIS.

**Qualifications and Skills**

To be considered, you will have:

- Engineering degree or diploma.
- Possess estimating/tendering skills, with an ability to be hands-on. Hands-on experience in electrical/construction management
- Thorough knowledge of regulatory and industry requirements
- Understanding of contracting procedures and contract law
- Knowledge of employment legislation, especially Health and Safety in Employment Act
- Experience in a unionised environment
- Strong business acumen
- Accountability and results-driven
- Customer-focused
- Persuasive and strong negotiating skills
- Successful business development experience
