We are currently partnering with a leading scientific organisation, seeking to appoint a Public Health Data Informatician. This position works within a highly respected health surveillance research programme at a Crown Research Institute, providing technical assistance to the team on a range of data processes, including database management, instrument design, coding and reporting.

This is a twelve-month fixed-term contract, based in Upper Hutt. There is an ability for a balanced, flexible working arrangement, however you would need to be based in the wider Wellington Region.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

- An analytical mindset, with good problem-solving skills and the ability to identify patterns and trends.
- An ability to use programming code to facilitate data linkage, identify and correct issues regarding data integrity, and to provide automation to data processes.
- An ability to present and analyse data, ideally utilising R, Stata or SAS.
- Strong experience in data management and database creation, ideally from a public health, epidemiology, pathology, or biomedical research background.
- Experience using sophisticated databases, ideally REDCap.
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with an emphasis on sound business partnering.
