There is currently an opportunity within our BaySwim team for a full time Team Leader across Baywave and Greerton Aquatic Centres.

You'll get to work with a great bunch of people who want to make a difference in the community by teaching Learn to Swim as well as Water Safety lessons. Not only will you get to do what you are passionate about ie. Swim Teaching, you will also get to keep yourself motivated and busy by focusing on the operations of the business as well as looking after the team as a whole as well as focus on building our following within our diverse communities.

BaySwim operates during the School Terms so we are looking for committed team players who are flexible around their working days and hours. Duties will include interacting with customers, supervising swim instructors, teaching Learn to Swim, Teaching Water Safety as well as keeping our facilities clean.

The successful applicant is passionate about teaching, will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities and needs. You will have the ability to work effectively both independently and as a strong and valuable part of a team.

You will demonstrate your capability to support our Swim Teachers to ensure the team deliver world class service and customer-focused outcomes. You'll have experience in Swim Teaching, be level headed in emergency situations, have great people leadership and always be two steps ahead.

**To be successful in this role you must**:

- Be able to deliver Swim lessons of various levels eg. Babies, Pre School, School age and or adults.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills, able to work with any type of person in all situations.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Have the ability to truly engage with children and create a fun learning environment;
- Value all swimmers equally, regardless of their ability level.
- Have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
- Previous experience and success as a Teacher/Swim Coach
- A good level of coaching technical skill
- Able to deliver lessons in various languages
