Auckland BioSciences is a multi-award-winning business that manufactures and exports New Zealand made animal derived serum, plasma, and other animal derivatives to the global life sciences industry.

We are looking for a Production Team Leader to join our team in **Mount Wellington, Auckland**.

**About this role**
- **$32 - $35 per hour** depending on experience
- Mt Wellington / Otahuhu location
- Full ongoing training provided
- Start ASAP
- Permanent full-time position (minimum of 30 hours)

**Hours**
- **Afternoon shift **(Midday - Evening)
- May sometimes be required for the morning shift (4am - finish around midday)

**Responsibilities**
- Handling animal by-products
- Assisting with the storage, loading, and shipment
- General cleaning of the production area
- Heavy lifting up to 25kg
- Managing production-related record keeping
- Supervising staff to ensure hygiene, process, and product standards are met
- Assisting with maintaining and developing quality systems

**Requirements**:

- Comfortable with working in a meat factory and handling animal by-products
- Supervisory experience in a manufacturing, meat processing or food production environment (preferred but not essential)
- Physically fit for regular heavy lifting
- Eligible to work in New Zealand (NZ citizen, resident, or open work visa)
- Own reliable transport and full/restricted driver licence
- Competent user of Microsoft Office suite (mainly Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to enforce discipline when required
- Clean criminal record
- Employment references
