Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
The Neurology team at Starship Child Health is looking for a Nurse Specialist in a permanent, part time (0.5FTE) capacity.
General Neurology includes predominantly epilepsy, dystonia and developmental paediatrics, both congenital disorders and acquired brain injury. It also involves chronic long-term conditions and longitudinal case management. The Nurse Specialist responsibilities include expert clinical guidance to staff and whanau, case coordination and health navigation. The role is autonomous and nurse led within the MDT. This role covers the north island and some tamariki from the rest of New Zealand and the Pacific islands who require tertiary/quaternary care.

**To be successful you will**:

- Have NZ Nursing Registration with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
- Have Postgraduate certificate/diploma in specialty nursing practice
- Have minimum level 4 practice
- Demonstrate knowledge of nursing professional development issues
- Have at least 5 years of nursing experience
- Have a Masters degree in nursing or health related area (Desired)
- Have experience in a Paediatric and/or Neurology setting (Desired)
