**The role**:
This role is all about providing expert advice and support across the Orion Group - you’ll engage with the business regarding all aspects of the resource and environmental management system, including consenting, compliance, assisting with on-going projects, resource management and planning processes. You’ll liaise with councils and stakeholders with a customer centric focus and the mindset of making sure we are doing the right thing for the environment.

**A little more about the role**:

- Manage, monitor and review district and regional plan change processes and central government reform of the resource and environmental management system and lead the businesses response - including managing any external consultant support
- Coordinate environmental compliance auditing and reporting
- Work with key environmental stakeholders at district and regional councils, iwi authorities, heritage entities, developers, other infrastructure providers and landowners
- Continually advise and support the business while achieving construction and maintenance outcomes

You will have great relationships with local councils and the desire to build strong on-going engagement with Doc, Iwi and landowners.

Some of the things we’ll be considering:

- Relevant degree qualified (resource management planning or law land related) or a depth of experience in a previous land and planning role
- Strong working knowledge of environmental legislation, including the Resource Management Act and the District Plan process
- Familiarity with survey practice procedures and legal procedures relating to land and planning consents
- Attention to detail, excellent communication and a desire to make change
- Ability to advise and support, a positive attitude, energy and sense of humour
