Security Architect - 1 x 12mth Fixed Term/Secondment & 1 x 6mth Fixed Term/Secondment opportunity

Ngā kawenga matua/Key Responsibilities
Workstream Responsibilities
- Collaborate with MSD and vendor solution architects to ensure security-by-design including:

- Adherence to MSD technology security strategy and policies
- Compliance to MSD and industry security standards
- Development of fit-for-purpose security architecture, design and controls
- Providing design input and conducting design reviews
- Assist project teams navigate MSD's security governance processes including providing necessary inputs for MSD Certification and Accreditation process
- Support the teams in identifying and unblocking any technical security dependencies

Practice Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and evolution of the security enterprise architecture strategy and roadmap
- Contribute to development and evolution of security architecture guardrails, processes, standards and patterns
- Engage with system and service owners to prioritise security architecture initiatives in their roadmaps to execute MSD's security enterprise architecture strategy
- Engage with Solution Architects during design and implementation to ensure that the security architecture roadmap capabilities are being delivered successfully
- Coach and support team members and community of practice to foster the development of effective security practices
- Foster and promote strong organisational security culture

He pūkenga tōu/Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Security Architect, Senior Security Engineer, or in a similar senior role within large and complex organisations
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategic goals and roadmaps into actionable architecture requirements and designs
- Practical understanding of designing security control solutions across all architecture domains including Application, Data, Technology and Integration, with expertise in at least one area
- Advanced understanding of cloud technologies and platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
- Solid understanding of current cyber security principles, standards and frameworks including NZISM, PSR, NIST, ISO 27001, ACSC Essential Eight and CertNZ Top Ten controls
- Tertiary degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, supported by technical qualifications and certifications in ICT security and architecture

Position Description
Our salary range for this role is below. Your starting salary will be determined due to your skill set and demonstrated career experience.
**Salary range**: $161,762.00 - $200,840.00
