**Your new company**

A large government agency, with a sizeable IT team is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to work on a high-profile project, based in Central Wellington.

**Your new role**

My client is looking for an experienced Senior Solutions Architect, as they begin a major transformation journey, leaving behind their legacy monolith and embracing modern cloud-based solutions.

Your primary responsibility will be to develop high-quality solution architectures that not only meet our business requirements but also adhere to industry best practices. Your expertise will drive the successful implementation of cloud-based services, ensuring seamless delivery of critical solutions.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Solution Architecture**: Develop robust and scalable solution architectures that meet business needs while aligning with strategy, architecture, and standards.**Information Architecture and Data Models**: Contribute to the development and quality assurance of information architecture and data models. Define target state architectures, standards, and roadmaps.**Security Best Practices**: Ensure that solutions adhere to good security practices. Promote security awareness across the organisation.**Technical Leadership**: Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to project teams. Collaborate with stakeholders to drive successful project delivery.**Stakeholder Engagement**: Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams. Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.

**Experience Needed**Solution Architecture**: You have in-depth experience designing solution architectures within an enterprise environment.-
**Microservices and API Gateway**: A solid understanding of microservices and API gateway architectures.**Identity and Access Management**: Familiarity with standards-based identity and access management.**Enterprise Architecture**: Previous contributions to enterprise architecture activities.**Holistic Design**: Your designs are holistic, incorporating cloud frameworks such as SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS constructs.**Cloud Adoption**: Provide well-informed advice for ongoing ICT cloud adoption. Regularly evaluate cloud services, software, and hardware.**Public Cloud Integration**:Experience architecting solutions that run on or integrate with public cloud services (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure).
