We have an opportunity for Senior Adviser Appraisals to join the Approvals team.
You will play an important role in protecting public health and facilitating trade by assisting food businesses in managing risks associated with their production and processing activities to ensure that food products are safe and suitable.
You will be part of a dynamic team within a collaborative environment, who work hard and help each other to succeed. Full training and support will be provided. The right person will also have potential to grow and develop their career in several pathways available within MPI.
Mōu - About You
To be successful in this role you'll bring a positive customer-centric attitude, an innovative mindset, exceptional organising skills and technical nous, and be a confident communicator with a solid understanding of how to lead projects and workstreams to deliver exceptional results.
You will work closely with colleagues across New Zealand Food Safety and MPI, and in other agencies acting as a champion for Approvals and communicating to others in relation to the value of the work the team delivers.
There is complexity and challenge, so you will need to be resilient, energetic, and adaptable to thrive in this environment.
**To succeed you will need to**:

- Have an aptitude for looking for systems-based solutions to complex issues
- Be able to lead projects and workstreams confidently, liaising with stakeholder to deliver exceptional results
