Our Mental Health and Addiction Service at Tauranga Hospital is seeking an exceptional person to fill the position of Mental Health Act Administrator.

You will be supporting the Director of Area Mental Health Services (DAMHS) with the administration of the Mental Health Act formal processes as it applies to Te Whatu Ora - Bay of Plenty. This position forms an integral part of the overall Mental Health Management Administration Support Team.

The position offers a professional and challenging work environment with training, development and career opportunities that go with this unique role. This is a permanent, fulltime position based at Tauranga hospital.

This position will be perfect for you if you have outstanding attention to detail, organisational skills, a friendly disposition and personal commitment to professional excellence.

It is a challenging position requiring a responsible person who takes pride in their work, has initiative, cultural sensitivity and fantastic communication skills. Experience working within a Mental Health setting is desirable.

An understanding of legal processes would be advantageous.
