Ngā kawenga | About the role
We are excited to announce two Manager Psychological Services positions in the Auckland Region. One role is at Auckland Prison, and the other is within our Special Treatment Unit, Te Piriti, also based at Auckland Prison. As a Manager Psychological Services, you will be responsible for providing professional leadership and clinical governance of psychological services. You will be required to implement policy and procedural guidelines, maintain best practice standards for the provision of psychological and rehabilitative services, and ensure effective multi-disciplinary relationships.
As a crucial member of the newly established Pae Ora group, the Manager Psychological Services must play a pivotal role in driving a joined-up approach to our operations, enhancing cohesion and cooperation across teams to deliver an integrated end to end service and comprehensive care.
The Pae Ora service reflects the aspirations of people under our management and acknowledges their whānau as a key enabler of oranga, health and rehabilitation outcomes. Pae ora is a holistic concept that includes three interconnected elements: mauri ora (healthy individuals), whānau ora (healthy families), and wai ora (healthy environments). The concept of Pae Ora provides an opportunity for Ara Poutama Aotearoa to build an integrated health and rehabilitation service aligning to these key tenets.
