**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.
We have a permanent, full-time **Team Lead Vaccinator Authorisation** opportunity available to join our System Enablers & Engagement Group within the Prevention Directorate of NPHS**. **This role is critical in enabling the delivery of the NPHS strategic agenda for Pae Ora (Healthy Futures).
The **Team Lead Vaccinator Authorisation** is responsible for managing the vaccination health workforce portfolio, including national authorisation of the vaccinating workforce. The primary organisational impact outcome sought from this position is to ensure robust and efficient authorisation processes are in place to support the vaccination workforce.

- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience is desired
- Experience managing a team's capability and capacity to deliver on current and future work priorities
- Ability to actively manage critical people and develop successors for future roles
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to think ahead, use initiative, establish priorities and meet deadlines whilst preserving high levels of accuracy and confidentiality
- Experience of managing risk and the ability to make clear decisions on when to report upwards
- Experience of project management skills to deliver on work programmes in a timely and effective manner
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster good stakeholder relationships
