**About us**

At Wakefield Hospital, we perform a wide range of diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures. And with a long-standing history of serving the lower North Island, we are proud to be the largest private hospital in the Wellington region. Soon to be commissioned our new state-of-the-art Hospital complete with seven theatre suites two Cath Labs plus a 10-bed ICU unit. In addition to this we will also have a brand-new day surgery unit.

**About the role**

As the PACU Team Leader, you will manage the PACU team within the theatre and provide evidence-based post-operative care for patients. You will actively support the Perioperative Services Manager in achieving strategic goals and ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Maintain professional accountability
- Deliver high-quality clinical services
- Foster teamwork and positive interpersonal relationships
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team
- Ensure patient-centered care is upheld

This is a permanent full-time role located at Wakefield Hospital, Newtown, Wellington.

**About you**

What you will need:

- Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
- Relevant bachelor's degree or Hospital-based training
- Previous leadership experience is preferred but not essential
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards of service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
