Are you ready to share your clinical expertise and knowledge, and foster learning? Then consider this exciting opportunity as a Rehabilitation Advanced Clinician in Physiotherapy working across the adult inpatient Physiotherapy teams at Te Whatu Ora - Waitematā.

As an Advanced Clinician, you will be providing day-to-day clinical expertise and leadership support to the Physiotherapy team and wider interdisciplinary team in close liaison with the Physiotherapy Clinical Leaders, and Professional Clinical Leader for Physiotherapy. You will have advanced knowledge and clinical practice within and across the patient pathway of the specialist area of Rehabilitation.

You will be responsible for leading and driving current physiotherapy and inter-disciplinary best practice in Rehabilitation, working alongside our Physiotherapists and interdisciplinary teams to develop and maintain a high level of competency in these areas. We are looking for someone who has a passion for coaching and educating others, and who strives for clinical excellence.

This role involves leading quality projects, and developing and updating policies in areas such as falls, frailty, deconditioning, neurology, stroke, and rehabilitation. You will also provide and role model advanced rehabilitation assessment and intervention that focuses on patient/whānau centred goals. An interdisciplinary team approach forms part of the service’s framework, so effective collaboration with the Rehabilitation Advanced Clinician in Physiotherapy and wider interdisciplinary teams, as well as the ability to communicate with local and national key stakeholders is vital.

**Key skills and attributes**:

- New Zealand registered Physiotherapist with a current annual practicing certificate
- Six (6) years post graduate experience with at least 3-4 years in the area of specialty
- Experience providing rehabilitation in a range of settings
- Proven clinical leadership within area of speciality
- Experience providing adult teaching, and knowledge of principals of adult learning.
- Experience in leading innovation and quality improvement, research and audit contribution
- Highly organised and self-motivated.
- Working towards completion of relevant Master’s degree or equivalent advanced practice
