Our client offers a range of services and certifications to help organisations understand and manage their environmental impact. They have developed world leading tools, resources, and programmes to enable organisations to measure, manage, reduce, and offset their greenhouse gas emissions with credibility and integrity. Their certifications include Carbon Reduce, Net Carbon Zero, and Climate Positive. They also offer the EnviroMark programme, which is an environmental management programme. While most of their clients operate out of Aotearoa New Zealand, they also run a successful licence partnership in the UK and have clients in many other countries. Their client base now exceeds 800, including many blue chip organisations and leading public sector agencies.
**About the Role**:
The market for our client’s services is growing rapidly, and climate action has started to become mainstream for organisations. Consequently, they are seeing a fast growth in the number and complexity of client accounts they are managing in the Client Relations team. The Senior Technical Account Manager role is an integral member of the team, working alongside other account managers across various industries and sectors, and seeking technical guidance from the Team Lead and the Head of Client Relationships This role is responsible for building and managing strong client relationships and providing the necessary account management, including ongoing support and technical assistance to their clients in preparation for their carbon audits. By following a continual improvement and mentoring process, their clients meet and often exceed the required standards that are needed for our verification. Daily, this role will collaborate with other teams to problem solve client needs and provide an exemplary level of service.
**You will**:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Act as the primary point of contact for technical queries, support, and issues
- Manage the overall customer experience and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Provide training and support to clients on programs
- Provide ongoing technical support and upskilling opportunities to clients to help them solve problems and achieve their goal
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales, science and advisory, development and communications and marketing to ensure client needs are met
- Conduct regular meetings with clients to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement
- Support clients with data reviewing and feedback for improvement
- Ensure clients are meeting the relevant ISO14064-1 standard and programme requirements
**Your Skills & Experience**:
- Keen interest in sustainability, particularly in a business environment, with experience or understanding of environmental and sustainability issues and management systems across multiple sectors
- Customer centric individual with demonstrable account management expertise, displaying customer empathy and having a sound understanding of client centred and resolution focused issues management
- Central or local government experience in support of our public sector clients preferred
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Government research agencies businesses, and professional groups
- Demonstrated problem solving abilities, requiring judgment and interpretation of established information
- High standard of excellence, accuracy and consistency, personal integrity, and accountability.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to appropriately communicate with multi-level/functional groups.
- A knowledge of and empathy with Te Reo and Tikanga Māori is desirable
