**Ko wai mātou | About Us**

Te Ao Mārama is a judicially-led kaupapa that aims to improve the experience for all people who participate in the court system, including victims and whānau. By partnering with iwi and engaging with communities, Te Ao Mārama will be designed to best serve each community’s specific needs.

We are currently establishing the Te Ao Mārama programme team, a multi-disciplinary rōpū to enable the design, development and delivery of the programme. You will be working closely with supporting teams across the Ministry of Justice and Justice Sector.

**Mō tēnei tūranga mahi| About the Role**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced communications expert to join our team. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies that will enhance the successful delivery of Te Ao Mārama programme. You will be working with other teams to support and deliver a suite of communication content alongside the judiciary, iwi, wider communities, the Ministry, and justice sector.

You pride yourself on being able to create and oversee the production of engaging and informative content, including Minister and key stakeholder briefing, press releases, social media posts, and other marketing material.

You will love how you are able to anticipate and provide timely and appropriate strategic communications and engagement advice to drive and shape decision making as well as identify opportunities and risks that may impact our journey.

An understanding of Te Ao Māori, Te Reo Māori and Tikanga Māori will be an advantage.
