**The Opportunity**:
Citycare Property is in an exciting period of growth We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at Citycare Property. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in analysing project specifications, developing accurate estimates, and supporting the tendering process. You will contribute to the development of robust tender solutions and cost schedules. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, gathering information, conducting research and analysis, and supporting the preparation of tailored bid responses. Your expertise in cost analysis, budgeting, and maintaining a comprehensive cost database will be instrumental in identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring effective project delivery.

**The Estimator will**:

- Analyse project specifications and site conditions to develop accurate cost estimates.
- Collaborate with managers to understand project requirements and develop robust tender solutions.
- Use industry knowledge and pricing information to create detailed cost schedules.
- Incorporate appropriate allowances for plant, labour, materials, and contractor expenses.
- Prepare and submit tender documents in compliance with requirements and deadlines.
- Maintain a reliable database of cost information, including plant, labour, materials, and contractor allowances.
- Conduct cost analysis, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide timely cost reports to support decision-making.

**Skills and experience required**:

- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Estimating is essential.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the New Zealand construction market.
- Good level of experience with contractors tendering, estimating, and pricing work successfully.
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and legislation.
- Proficiency in using computer-based take-off and pricing software, such as Benchmark or similar tools, is desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Statistical skills and analysis experience are considered a plus.
- Exposure to business improvement systems and quality systems is advantageous.
- Commercial experience is beneficial.
