Koi Tū: The Centre for Informed Futures is an independent and nonpartisan think tank and research centre based at the University of Auckland, with associate members across New Zealand and internationally. We undertake transdisciplinary research and analysis and generate knowledge, commentary and tools to address critical long-term national and global challenges arising from rapid and far-reaching social, economic, technological and environmental change. The Knowledge Hub for Maternal and Child Health at Koi Tū focuses on evidence-informed decision making in the area of maternal, infant and child health.

**Job Description**:
**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

We are seeking a motivated **Research Assistant** to join the team at Koi Tū. In this role, you will undertake extensive literature reviews and write synthesis reports for the Knowledge Hub for Maternal and Child Health.

You will also support the Knowledge Hub’s communications plan, including assistance with disseminating and communicating outputs and expanding outreach. The work will focus on specific areas of health, medicine and social wellbeing, but may also extend to other areas of Koi Tū’s activities.

This is a **fixed term** (12 months), **full-time** (37.5 hours per week) opportunity.
The remuneration is $66,600 - $82,200 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.

**Qualifications**:
**He kōrero mōu | About you**
- A postgraduate research-based degree in health or a related discipline.
- Experience conducting and writing literature reviews; excellence at finding information from scientific and grey literature.
- Ability to write succinctly and in a clear, accessible style.
- An eye for detail and attention to accuracy
- Ability to work both independently, and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and drive to deliver; willingness to go the extra mile in times of urgent workload
