- Join our Diabetes Service as a Research Assistant/ Project Coordinator to manage our clinical research projects.
- Full-time, 40 hours per week (1 FTE) for a fixed term of 20 months.

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Our highly skilled and multi-disciplinary Diabetes Service at Te Toka Tumai, part of the Adult Community and Long-Term Conditions Directorate, is in search of a Research Assistant/ Project Coordinator to manage our clinical research projects. The role involves:

- Supervising research assistants and students working on clinical research projects
- Creating research databases using REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture).
- Maintaining the research database which includes data entry and checking
- Extracting data from existing clinical records and entering it into the research database
- Completing questionnaires with participants by phone or zoom
- Liaising with clinical staff working on the project/s, and at times with outside organisations
- Assisting with preparation of participant sheets, reports and data summaries.

**To be successful in this role, you will need**:
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or equivalent university degree
- Excellent interpersonal communication and phone skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written communication skills with a high quality of editing and proof reading

Preferred skills
- Experience with REDCap
- Knowledge of clinical note systems (e.g. Regional Clinical Portal or 3M) would be an advantage but is not essential
