**Tenei turanga - About the Role**:
As a Senior ER Advisor at MBIE, you will provide Employment Relations (ER) guidance, advice and support to our People and Culture team and the business. You will deliver high quality and pragmatic advice. You will work on ER cases and projects, policy and guidance to create people-centred, sustainable, and constructive outcomes aligned to MBIE's People Strategy.
You will collaborate with others and quickly establish and maintain effective working relationships across the People and Culture branch, internal stakeholders and our union officials and delegates. You will support and lead work that is challenging, interesting and varied and will also have an opportunity make a difference and develop your ideas in employment relations initiatives and further develop your career within MBIE.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong ER experience and be up-to-date with legislation and employment relations best practice in New Zealand.
You will also have the following
- A strong background and experience with ER cases (including mediation) in Public Sector agencies or in large and diverse employee relations environments
- A collaborative approach to work in a team of specialists and across the wider People and Culture branch
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- A pragmatic style that is people
- centred with a sound customer service ethos
- Must have legal right to live and work in NZ
