**About the role****:
As a UX Writer, you will research, plan, create, edit, and proofread a variety of online copy to enhance user experience, brand, and tone. A lot of the content and topics are highly technical and require a strong technical aptitude, the ability to quickly learn new concepts and tools, and strong communication skills. Part of a global team, you will work with people across different time zones and report to the Content Team Lead.

**You will**:

- produce easy to understand content that is on-brand, has the appropriate tone of voice, meets our style guidelines, and is easily digestible to others
- work closely with designers - reviewing and providing feedback on user journeys and appropriate content for each context
- collaborate with design, product, translation, and engineering teams to ensure all requirements are satisfied
- contribute to our content planning, content strategy, style guide, tone of voice, and design and content meetings
- effectively manage and communicate with stakeholders to create desired outcomes
- upload and publish content through our Content Management System
- adhere to, contribute to, and update our style guide, tone of voice and content processes
- support the Content Team with various content projects and tasks.

This role can be remote, and we offer flexible work arrangements for employees based at our Auckland office.

You:

- have a passion for words and for trying to make sure the content is right for the desired audience
- have the ability to quickly analyse and synthesise complex content. Experience writing about technical or complex topics is a plus
- have the ability to write clearly and succinctly for multiple audiences using either formal or more casual tones (with examples to back this up)
- have an inquisitive mind and great research skills to back this up
- have excellent proofreading skills
- have effective task management and multitasking skills
- looks for and implements continuous improvement programmes of work
- have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- have an interest in and understanding of technology and the technology sector is preferred but not necessary
- take initiative and has a proactive ‘can do’ attitude
- are a problem solver with strong attention to detail
- have strong collaborative focus; a team player, willing to go the extra mile to produce quality work and meet deadlines.

**Qualifications and experience****:

- You have at least 1 year's experience in UX copywriting. Experience in microcopy would be a plus.
- You have at least 5 years experience in digital copywriting.
- Ideally, you hold a tertiary qualification in communications, journalism, marketing or similar.
- Experience working with tools such as Figma, Jira, Confluence, WordPress, and using Tone of voice and Style guides, would be a plus.
- Localisation experience would be a plus.
