**About the role**:
As a UI/ UX Designer, you will be responsible for owning and maintaining our design system across multiple platforms, ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to build a world-class design system with well-defined components, comprehensive guidelines, and streamlined processes. Reporting to the Design and Content Manager in NZ, you’ll make an impact by:

- Creating and updating documentation and library components
- Establishing design standards and principles accompanying the design system for scalability, efficiency, and consistency
- Evaluating and improving usability and accessibility of components, being a champion for the user
- Contributing to the selection and adoption of design system tools, patterns, libraries, and workflows
- Conducting end-to-end audits of our UI, visuals, and design system, solving discrepancies and pushing the visual design system forward while considering our brand and platform guidelines
- Identifying, prioritising, and monitoring the progress of design, development, and documentation tasks across the design system team members
- Collaborating with a cross-functional team of Product Managers, Engineers, Content Writers, and other Designers

Please note that we run an asynchronous, hybrid-remote model at MEGA, and this role may require early-morning or late-night availability as you work alongside staff in different time zones.

**About you**:
You also have:

- Three or more years of experience working with design systems
- Demonstrable experience building design systems, component libraries, and/or UI Kits
- Strong UI/ visual design skills
- Experience and knowledge about designing for multiple platforms, devices, and screen sizes
- Experience creating and maintaining clean design system documentation
- Familiarity with design tokens
- Proficiency in standard design tools such as Figma and Adobe XD
- Knowledge of accessibility standards/patterns and designing for accessibility
- Preferably, had exposure to HTML, CSS, and associated technologies
