**Job Title: Product Specialist -(High Pressure Liquid Chromatography)**

**Location: Melbourne/Sydney/Brisbane/Adelaide/Auckland**

**Reporting To: National Sales Manager**

**How will you make an impact?**
Product Specialist, HPLC is tasked with achieving or exceeding annual booking and revenue objectives by increasing presence and customer awareness of our HPLC solutions throughout the ANZ region
Whilst operating in a highly competitive market environment, the role has responsibility for marketing activities, presentations, demonstrations, increasing market share and achieving annual sales targets

**What will you do?**
- The Product Specialist HPLC, ANZ is tasked with achieving or exceeding annual booking and revenue objectives by increasing presence of our HPLC solutions throughout the defined territory, working alongside the Asia Pacific HPLC team, the Global Partner Alliance, throughout the CMD organization and other Divisions within Thermo Fisher Scientific.
- Responsible for sales of HPLC solutions in the defined territory, both directly and alongside partners, in defined markets and industries
- Grow pipeline of opportunity in the defined territory, and develop new leads and target business areas
- Develop business plans and strategies to achieve and exceed revenue goals
- Co-ordinate with Thermo Fisher sales teams to ensure business growth and to ensure execution upon sales and account strategies
- Provide regular, detailed forecasting to sales management
- Prepares business plans for the territory.
- Understands the generic strengths and vulnerabilities of major competitors and develops sales strategies to respond effectively.
- Ensures that the account plans and sales activities are consistent with overall business goals.
- Proactively meets with / calls customers throughout the territory on a regular basis to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Communicates with Product Management and Development
- Collaborates with other groups within Thermo Fisher to implement appropriate strategies to address business opportunities and overcome obstacles.

**Education**
- Bachelors level degree in a relevant scientific discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in complex Instrumentation Solution solutions sales, with a focus on HPLC

**Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**
- Ability to present and represent Thermo Fisher Scientific Informatics business unit
- Demonstrate clear understanding of business value delivered by enterprise software solutions
- Understands business goals and evaluates and prioritizes opportunities accordingly.
- Sufficient technical and business knowledge to present a compelling value proposition to prospects and customers.
- Utilizes regional resources to ensure they are properly leveraged relative to deal closure, probability and opportunity size.
- Experience in Managing the contract review process and negotiation.

**Other Important Information**
- As this position requires time on the road, a current driving license is a prerequisite.
- An ability to travel to attend training sessions/conferences and customers’ sites
- Ability to travel statewide and interstate and overseas when and if required
