Te Tari Pūreke - Firearms Safety Authority, is focused on making our communities safer by overseeing the legitimate possession and use of firearms in New Zealand.

As the system regulator we are committed to earning the trust and confidence of New Zealanders by working together in partnership with the firearms community, iwi, the wider New Zealand public, other policing groups, as well as other agencies and organisations to achieve collective impact.

As a Workforce Analyst you will be responsible for analysing historic call data to ensure staffing levels are appropriate to handle the incoming volumes while also meeting the needs of the Registry and Services Team. This position will see you working in closely with Registry & Services supervisors and managers, analysing historical call data, and rostering teams in accordance with call trends.

Developing schedules and forecasting to meet call volumes and service levels, will see you providing data analysis to support evidence-based decision making. With strong analytical skills, your background will ideally be in Workforce Management or as a Scheduler within real-time, inbound call centre environment. To thrive in this position, you will need to be able to multi-task, work well under pressure, solve problems and be able to complete all work with accuracy.

The ability to quickly build and maintain relationships supported by excellent verbal and written communication skills is essential. Data collection, data cleansing, analysis, reporting and recommendations, will all fall under your remit. Utilising both predicative and statistical analysis, you will provide quantitative reports which recommend staffing levels across two geographical sites.

Whilst a Wellington or Auckland based applicant is preferred, we are open to you being based outside of these main centres, and as such, you would be accommodating of occasional domestic travel in your schedule.

**Takohanga Matua | Key Accountabilities**:

- Analyse workforce data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop staffing plans and workforce models that align with services objectives and service level agreements.
- Monitor and report on workforce performance metrics, including staffing levels, productivity.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

**Skills**:

- A curiosity about how we can use data differently to inform business decisions and an ability to present insights in a clear manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in workforce analysis, preferably in the contact centre environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with scheduling and workforce management tools and software would be an advantage.
