How would you like to contribute to shaping the way Te Papa Atawhai delivers conservation outcomes for Aotearoa?
We manage a wide variety of assets including tracks, huts, structures, campsites, boundary fencing, predator control fencing and accommodation facilities. These assets provide visitors with breath-taking recreation opportunities and contribute towards protecting our natural flora and fauna.
As Business Process Coordinator, you will be involved in writing business processes to coordinate the development and maintenance of these assets at DOC. We are looking for someone who is friendly, is an excellent business writer, has great customer service skills and isn't afraid of data or software
**The position will be focussed on**:
- working closely with our Senior Business Process Analyst to learn and work with our business process management framework
- receiving requests for business process improvement, and recording and prioritising these
- documenting and maintaining business processes relating to asset management
- communicating progress of changes and enhancements to our people
- supporting the delivery of the business processes into production
- providing advice and support to promote consistent use of processes
- assisting with training in the use of business process systems
- supporting systems administration of business process systems (including user support).

If you have the following attributes, we are keen to hear from you:
- Cultural competence with a good understanding of Māoritanga and the purpose of Te Tiriti.
- Excellent verbal communication skills including elicitation, facilitation, individual instruction and coaching.
- Ability to write business process or work instructions with an understanding of the purpose of documenting outcomes, relationship to legislation, plans and policies.
- Ability to build strong relationships with your team and with the customers of our processes, and to understand the purpose of requirements in the development of processes.
- Excellent software skills including advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 suite of products; Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent customer service skills and a can-do attitude.
- Experience in understanding, evaluating and escalating faults and issues through to resolutions in a customer facing environment.
- Ability to build strong relationships with your team and with the customers of our processes, skilled in working collaboratively with a range of people across initiatives.
- Experience in working proactively with stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
- An understanding of roles and responsibilities within an organisation, including accountability, responsibility, and participating activities.
- Critical thinking in analysis of requirements and development of solutions.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise and escalate where necessary.
**Desirable**:
- Experience using ARIS and Nintex process management tools.
- Experience using SAP4HANA EAM to support infrastructure asset management and business processes.
- Experience/knowledge of business process management software, preferably ARIS and Nintext process manager.
- Expertise in quality management and process management methodologies such as ISO 9000.
- Experience with systems administration of online software systems, including maintaining internal sites.

The National Operations and Regulatory Services Group (NORS) supports and delivers our conservation outcomes at place, alongside the Regional Operations Group, across Aotearoa New Zealand's land and sea scape.
The Asset Specialist Team is part of the Planning and Services Directorate which is responsible for planning the flow of work through our delivery groups. Distributed from Kerikeri to Nelson this team are excellent communicators, and support of our Enterprise Asset Management System.
