**Te **kōwhiringa | The Opportunity**

Our team based in Hamilton are currently in search of a Project Engineer to join their Foam bitumen stabilizing team. Focusing on Pavement Foam Stabilization, your role will support the Contract Manager in providing the necessary direction and leadership to the project management team(s) in order to achieve the delivery Pavement Services. You will assist the Contract Manager with day to day operations, project documentation and contractual issues. This is a diverse and challenging role that includes both office and site based activities.

**Other duties will include**:

- Participate in the production of project methodology, budgets and programmes for renewals, maintenance, sealing or surfacing and other activities required for the contract
- Overall responsibility for specific project implementation and delivery. Manage work on site to meet programme and financial targets.
- Implement control framework and monitoring process, including project budgets, and report regularly project stakeholders. Manage, coach and assist direct reports to achieve their targets and improve their competency.

**Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills**
- 5 + years' experience in a similar civil engineering position A formal civil engineering qualification (e.g. BE, NZCE)
- Experienced in foam bitumen pavement recycling and intelligent compaction data capture and processing.
- Proven management experience with responsibility and accountability for staff, plant and return on investment Excellent organisational skills and demonstrated customer relationship management skills
- Proven track record in developing a culture that supports SQE management, encouraging and rewarding excellence
- Experience with, and a strong commitment to health and safety initiatives
- Current drivers’ licence
