**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
The Evidence, Research and Clinical Trials business unit was established to increase equitable access to evidence and research across the organisation and the wider health sector to improve health outcomes for all New Zealanders.
In this role, your primary purpose will be to provide Health Services Research and Evaluation resources to Service Improvement and Innovation projects and programmes, as well as support evaluations across Te Whatu Ora.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for assisting with culturally safe design, implementation and dissemination of evaluation projects within Te Whatu Ora. You will also need to provide support in the analysis and interpretation of data for evaluations. Your ability to build relationships within the business unit will be essential as you will be required to support the building of internal research and evaluation capability.

You will be an independent and enthusiastic worker who is passionate about using evaluation health services research to support the continuous improvement of the health service and to address health inequities - this is essential to your success in this role.
You will be required to work with a range of teams and audiences in this role so you will need to be an excellent communicator who is able to engage with stakeholders across the organisation.

- University qualification in health, science or other relevant field
- Experience in evaluation and/or health services research
- Understanding of the NZ health sector
- Experience with data collection and analysis
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with healthcare professionals, researchers and interdisciplinary teams
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
