**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals seeking help for alcohol and drug addiction.
- Develop treatment plans based on the individual's needs and goals.
- Provide individual and group counseling to clients and their families.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and make adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and complete client records and documentation.
- Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding addiction and recovery.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of addiction and recovery.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Preferred a minimum of 2 years of experience in the addiction and recovery field.
- Current New Zealand registration and APC with the relevant professional association.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of evidence-based addiction treatment approaches.
- Cultural competence and sensitivity to the needs of diverse populations.
- Legal right to work in New Zealand
- Ability to facilitate evening groups
