The Chief Ombudsman is independent and impartial, with the goal of fairness for all.

The Publications and Digital team is a newly established team dedicated to delivering high quality content and digital solutions that support the Chief Ombudsman's communications goals and enhances his public presence.
Our new Publications and Digital team will work closely alongside our Communications and Media team to deliver impactful messaging and content across various channels.
We focus on collaboration, creativity and attention to detail to ensure we engage and inform our audiences effectively.
Mō te tūranga - About the role
In this role you will gain exposure to a range of communications work while supporting the team managers by maintaining an overview of work programmes and tracking key events.
You will provide secretarial support, including meeting coordination, minute taking and managing follow up on action items. Additionally you will assist with financial administration, handling expense reconciliations and budget related tasks, as well as coordinating travel arrangements.
As the key contact for the Publications and Digital team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth communication and operations while contributing to a range of communications related activities.
He kōrero mōu - About you
- A tertiary qualification in Communications or a relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in communications, and providing administration and coordination support.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to use your creative flair and analytical skills to manage multiple priorities.
- A genuine commitment to cultural awareness, with knowledge of the Treaty of Waitangi and Te Reo Māori or a willingness to learn.

Depending on skills and experience the salary is expected to be between $55,892 to $73,358 per annum.
