**Mō te tūnga | About the role**

We are a small team of Dietitians who provide clinical dietetic services for inpatients across the Older Persons Health and Rehabilitation service based at Burwood Hospital. We also have an outpatient service which is predominantly for Orthopaedic weight management. The team has a variety of experience to help support and facilitate your continual professional development.

This is a permanent position for 24 hours a week, days of work negotiable within the Monday to Friday service hours.

**Ko wai koe | About You**

You will be a New Zealand Registered Dietitian with a current Annual Practicing Certificate predominantly working within our patient focused and goal orientated weight management Orthopaedic outpatient clinic. This role may also include inpatient work. Ideally, you will have experience in the rehabilitation and outpatient setting and able to provide a range of dietetic assessment and treatment plans with the ability to conduct virtual clinics. You will contribute to the ongoing development of the dietetic service, making informed clinical decisions, using data for improvement and strive to provide equitable outcomes for our community. You’ll be expected to support student dietitians, new graduates and your wider allied health colleagues.

Your skills will include:

- ** A New Zealand Registered Dietitian with current Annual Practising Certificate is essential**:

- A drive to ensure best health outcomes for people with nutrition related disorders with a special interest in Older person’s health
- The ability to work within a team and contribute to the provision of quality care within the service;
- Being self-motivated, organised, be confident working across all areas of Older Person’s Health and rehabilitation and enjoy a challenge
- Sufficiently computer literate
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and nurture relationships with patients and other people within the service
