We are looking for an experience Senior Advisor Security to join our Wellington based team.

As the Senior Advisor, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to maintain a safe and secure environment for everyone connected to Kāinga Ora. Your primary responsibility will be to lead all operational aspects of our regional security program, ensuring that our security strategies, policies, standards and measures are robust and effective.

**Your key responsibilities**:

- Provide expert advise to our teams on best practices and driving the adoption of cutting-edge security frameworks and tools.
- Collaborate with regional Safety, Support, and Wellbeing Senior Advisors and manager. Play a vital role in supporting our teams in understanding and implementing security policies and measures to safeguard our assets and people.
- Conduct security audits: Lead and deliver a comprehensive regional security assurance program, conducting detailed audits of Kāinga Ora premises to assess the effectiveness of our security controls.
- Contribute to the development of innovative security tools and frameworks, ensuring our Kāinga Ora stays ahead of evolving threats.
- Respond to security incidents by playing a decisive role in responding to high-severity security incidents, coordinating efforts to mitigate risks and protect our community.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring
- A relevant tertiary qualification or significant experience in a similar role
- Security qualification such as CPP, CISSP, CISM, CISA, SABSA or GIAC is desireable.
- Poven track record in security strategy and policy development, with experience leading security programs in large complex organisations
- Ability to hold or obtain a high level New Zealand Government national security clearance
- Knowledge of current legislation relating to security e.g. PSR, crimes Act, trespass and privacy.
- A strong understanding of security standards, frameworks, and measures, keeping up with industry trends and best practices.
- Proactive thinker, able to analyse complex situations and devise effective solutions.
- A collaborative team player, excel in a team environment, building relationships and supporting colleagues to achieve shared goals.
- A genuine passion for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our people and assets.
