**He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role**

Key responsibilities:

- Utilise expertise to guide and support the planning and delivery of patient care across specialties delivering planned care services within the healthcare system.
- Provide strategic leadership in the development and implementation of initiatives to optimise planned care services, aligning with the Governments Health Targets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, government agencies, and community partners, to foster collaboration and drive continuous improvement.
- Report on and present data using the QLIK platform related to planned care and Faster Cancer Treatment services, ensuring accuracy and relevance to support decision-making processes.
- Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and finances, to support the delivery of planned care services while optimising patient outcomes.
- Implement quality assurance measures, including data validation, to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of planned care services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Government Health Targets for patient wait times and oversee the timely and accurate reporting of data to relevant authorities.
- Provide exceptional leadership and direction to the planned care services team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
