Are you an experienced leader in asphalt paving operations with a drive for excellence and a passion for delivering top-quality results?
We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Department Manager to lead our team in Tauranga. In this role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of asphalt paving projects, ensuring we meet our client’s needs while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

In addition to the above you will:
Create, manage, and deliver annual financial budgets for the asphalt department.
Pricing and tendering of work within department managers delegated levels of authority.
Assist divisional manager with preparation of larger tenders, quotes, estimates for the asphalt department.
Be aware of and oversee contractual procedures for managing changes to scope of work for direct work and sub-contractor agreements.
Work closely with internal and external customers to deliver complex programs and deliver all contracts to their respective due dates for completion.
Ensure forward planning, organising, and ordering of contract subbies, survey, materials, plant, and people.
Supervise and mentor a team of asphalt workers, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers and other key stakeholders.
Provide technical advice and support to direct reports and peers.
