The National Cyber Security Centre is the heart of Aotearoa New Zealand's cyber defence. We fulfil the cyber security responsibilities of the GCSB and the Government Chief Information Security Officer (GCISO).

Bring your Software Engineering experience, and background in cloud technology, to a role with real purpose and join us to make a real difference in protecting New Zealand and New Zealanders. This role works with architects to design, build and maintain capabilities in support of the National Cyber Security Centre's mission - protecting NZ.

Who are we looking for?
You are solution focused, understanding of different perspectives, keen to interact with your wider team and very willing to take initiative. Your excellent interpersonal skills enable you to develop positive and productive relationships with a range of people, technical or otherwise.

**Ideally you have**:

- In-depth knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure and its associated services
- Intermediary to Advanced level experience in multiple programming languages, e.g. Python, Java, C, C++
- Experience in setting up, configuring, and managing Azure environments
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes, and working in continuous integration environments
- Experience developing software for Linux
- Understanding of cloud security principles and best practices in Azure
