We are now excited to get on board a Booking Desk Representative to join our team in Auckland, New Zealand.
Reporting to the Team Leader Bookings, this role will overview and monitor the available space on each sailing and ensure bookings received are trending towards the targeted lifting’s for the relevant sailing, and to ensure that ahead of any bookings cut off cover bookings and/or out of the standard bookings are confirmed with the shipper. The role will also receive and process bookings from customers (EDI & manual). Perform necessary checks as per standard booking process & allocation
**Key responsibilities of the role will include**:
Ensure that bookings are auto freighted at the time of booking confirmation. Request customers to provide SQ reference at the time of booking. Search for an SQ reference in LARA quotation Inform Sales Team if rates are missing. Become familiar with charges and rate structure.
Promote e-Services to customer and encourage e-Bookings. Promote other VAS as per campaigns.
Assist customers with any enquiries up to booking status 20
**To succeed in this role, you will need**:
Graduate degree preferably in Supply Chain, International Business or any relevant stream
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a shipping company / environment.
Previous experience in a Customer Service role
Strong organizational and administration skills
Good computer skills
Customer oriented approach with attention to details
Excellent communications skills, problem-solving skills with the ability to foster relationships with customers
