As a Materials Engineer, you will primarily work in a metallurgical laboratory and mechanical testing facility. As well as this, you will undertake desk-based assessments of equipment. You will use the findings from these works to solve client problems and guide them towards better equipment management.

As a Materials Engineer, you will be responsible for:

- Undertaking failure analysis, metallurgical assessment and materials testing for static and rotating equipment in the Pipeline, Process and Power industries
- Undertaking metallurgical assessment and materials testing to support fitness-for-service assessments
- Undertaking metallurgical assessment and materials testing to support internal development initiatives
- Performing basic fitness-for-service and remaining life assessments in accordance with industry standards
- Participating in occasional field and inspection support at industrial facilities

**Fuel your passion**

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have a Bachelor's degree in materials or mechanical/ materials engineering or related field of study
- Have a major in metallurgy (or equivalent) and/or corrosion science
- Have good oral and written communication skills
- Be a team player and display good communication skills, able to work solo
- Have relevant work experience in materials engineering and/or engineering consultancy, up to 4 years
- Have experience working in a metallurgical laboratory environment
- Have experience working with plant in the process, pipeline and power generation industries
- Have ability to travel domestically and internationally for occasionally field work at client facilities and for business development activities
