**About the role**
- We are looking for someone to join our team fulltime as Senior Advisor Operational Policy.
- The Senior Advisor Operational Policy is a key member of our Operational Policy team and works closely with the team to contribute to the review and development of the Authority’s operational policy.
- The role largely focusses on the review, refinement, and development of policies, processes, procedures, and work tools that give effect to the overarching strategy for the Authority’s operational regulatory functions.
- The Senior Advisor will also contribute to the Authority’s strategic initiatives.

The Senior Advisor will work with our operational teams together with relevant business groups across the Authority as required, either in a lead or support role.

This is a permanent, full-time role based in Wellington CBD and will offer a salary range of $108,171-$127,259(mid-point), depending on your skills and experience.

**What we’re looking for**
- An appropriate tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Ability to build relationships within a strongly technical internal environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory systems and practice is an advantage.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound skills in systems thinking and logical analysis.

The Civil Aviation Authority National Office is usually located in modern offices opposite the Wellington railway station. As a result of remedial earthquake strengthening work that needs to take place, our National office staff are currently working remotely and in temporary offices in central Wellington.
