- Leverage Beca’s client relationships to work across local and central government, transport, industrial, power and water markets
- Play a leadership role in this growing practice
- Grow your career working with experts across sustainability, environmental, planning and engineering disciplines

**Te kāinga rua | The opportunity**

Join Beca’s growing sustainability practice, working with a team who understand the important role that infrastructure plays in our lives and have an interest and passion in leading sustainable and climate conscious infrastructure development.

This role will enable you to be:

- Embedded in project teams as a sustainability expert integrating sustainable practices, driving low carbon design, and facilitating social, environmental, and economic outcomes from the infrastructure.
- Influencing change at every stage of infrastructure development, from concept to operations
- Asked to think analytically and holistically about climate change and broad wellbeing issues; challenge others thinking, innovate and ideate solutions.
- Rapidly developing your career, learning from recognised sustainability and climate change experts.
- Supporting the team with client relationship management and business development.

Although this role is focused on sustainable infrastructure, there will be flexibility to support (and learn) across other discipline areas within the Sustainable Advisory team. This role could be based in Auckland or Wellington, with potential to be based in other Beca offices.

**Te rongoā | About you**

You will be passionate about infrastructure sustainability and be excited by the opportunity this emerging area of expertise offers. You will have tenacity and are confident advocating sustainable outcomes.

You will be an experienced consultant that is comfortable winning work and managing client and stakeholder relationships. You will be committed to making a difference, contributing to both the practice growth opportunity this role provides, as well as growing, and developing your career as a sustainability leader. There is also potential for someone interested in taking on a people leadership role.

We welcome and invite applicants who bring unique and diverse experience that will complement our team and are open to the consideration of applicants from a range of backgrounds. To be successful in a Senior Sustainability role like this, experience in providing consulting or management services in sustainability or climate change will be important. This includes an understanding of the commercial aspects of a consulting business. In addition, working in, or with, design and construction teams with sustainability related responsibilities will be advantageous. This role would suit applicants with current consulting experience or with wider industry sustainability experience who are looking to make more tangible impact.

This role is for a mid-career professional. Applicants with greater experience will be considered.
