**_ The role/Te mahi_**

Otago’s residential Colleges offer a high standard of support to its residents including both first-rate academic support and outstanding pastoral care.

As an Administrator Client Services, you will be responsible for delivering effective and efficient administrative activities within a Residential College. You will contribute to creating a positive and supportive atmosphere that assists college residents in their personal and academic growth.
- Your role will involve:

- providing front-line reception coverage;
- coordinating administrative and college processes; and
- managing student information in the StarRez database.

You will be a crucial point of contact for college residents, providing assistance and guidance during office hours. Working closely with the Warden and other college staff, you will help contribute to the overall well-being of the residents and collaborate with a team of Client Services Administrators working in other residential colleges.

As most Residential Colleges operate with one Administrator, this role requires a mature, reliable, and self-sufficient approach.
- Have experience in a busy front-facing role where high levels of customer service delivery and confidentiality are expected.
- Demonstrate a caring, supportive demeanour with a willingness to engage with first-year tertiary students as part of the pastoral care approach in colleges.
- Have patience and an appropriate sense of humour.
- Be confident to act as a first aider in physical and mental health situations.
- Show proficiency in the Microsoft suite of programmes.

This is a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours) role.

We also have Kaiwhakahaere Tari positions available. These roles are part of the Administrator Client Services function but in addition they support the implementation of the Māori Strategic Framework activities, the University’s commitment to the success of Māori students and staff and contribute to a culture of whakawhanaungatanga in our workplaces. These positions are remunerated at Level 5, with the appointment range $61,531 to $65,898.
