The Practice Lead, Change Management reports to the Manager, Project Capability and is the leader responsible for our Change Management capability within the EPMO. This role requires you to work not only with your team of Change Management professionals, but also across the EPMO with the other supporting functions helping deliver change successfully.
The Change Management Practice is responsible for the delivery of change in a way that ensures our front line and end users are aware of the change that will impact them, successfully transition from the current state to the future state and are well equipped and prepared to accept and adopt the new ways of working.

Mō te tūnga | About the role
The Practice Lead, Change Management balances a solid grounding in change management frameworks and methodologies, with a leadership style that is collaborative, clear and empowering.
It will be your role to ensure the change management team are aware of and using the organisational change management framework, are focusing on the value add activities that will aid delivery, and work closely with the Enterprise Change and Benefits team to ensure change is delivered in a way that realises the benefits of our investments.
This role is heavily focused on cultivating a culture of high performance, building a community of skilled project professionals that lifts our capabilities and responding to the needs and strategic drivers of the organisation.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring

**Key requirements of the role include**:

- Lead their people in working collaboratively across Oranga Tamariki.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date view of change management skills and capability across the practice, aligning with the requirements of the organisation and proactively identifying and addressing capability or skill gaps.
- Onboarding of new change management kaimahi to ensure awareness and understanding of change management practice requirements.
- Provide resource management for the centralised pool of Change Managers, Change Analysts and Change Coordinators, including allocation and utilisation.
- Work with the project delivery community to define resourcing and skill requirements and provide assistance matching resourcing needs with internal or external capability.
- Ensure our change management professionals have the appropriate skills, knowledge, and experience to deliver the required work and expected results, including providing coaching, mentoring and professional development opportunities as identified through regular performance conversations, the change management career progression framework and annual performance reviews.
- Provide an expert change management advisory service and coaching/mentoring support to the portfolio.
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture

Oranga Tamariki offer an impartial remuneration package, that offers progression annually for experience through tenure. Annual remuneration for this position starts between $142,728 and $177,410 dependent on experience.
