**Job Description** About the Role**

The Platforms Solutions Practice Lead plays a dual role in leading a team of technical specialists and developers while also actively participating in technical tasks. They are responsible for ensuring the effective development and support of our platforms. Approximately 40% of the time will be spent on leadership responsibilities, with the remaining 60% dedicated to direct technical work within the team.

**Key responsibilities**:
Team leadership (40%):

- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to a team of technical specialists and developers
- Set clear objectives and performance expectations, conducting regular performance reviews aligned to WM’s Performance Enhancement Programme (PEP)
- Facilitate team meetings and ensure effective communication of priorities and best practices
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive team environment
- Coordinate team efforts, prioritise projects and support requests, and allocate resources to ensure the timely and efficient completion of tasks
- Act as a point of contact for escalations and resolve any conflicts or technical challenges

Technical Responsibilities (60%):

- Engage in the design, development, and optimisation of platforms, ensuring they meet the highest standards of reliability, scalability, and performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner
- Implement best practices in platform development and support, ensuring compliance with security and data protection standards
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to align platform development with business goals
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development and support processes, and the team's technical skillset

**Qualifications** To be successful in this role you must have**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical role, with a focus on platform development or management
- Experience with ERP and CRM platforms advantageous
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory position within a technical team
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of technical professionals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering results
- Adaptability and a proactive approach to learning new technologies
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
