**Āu Mahi | What You Will Do**

It is an exciting time to rebuild international education at UC As an International Recruitment Market Manager you will play a critical role in attracting and recruiting international students from Southeast Asia to the University of Canterbury (UC). This will be achieved by leading the development and delivery of strategies relating to student recruitment, including business development as you build on and create new relationships with agents, schools, institutional partners, and other key stakeholders.

You will be based on our beautiful Campus in Christchurch and undertake travel within Southeast Asia approximately five times a year (up to around two weeks away at a time) and be responsible for the management of an in-country representative based in Vietnam.

**Mōu | Who You Are**

You will be able to demonstrate quantifiable sales success and strong account management experience in an international environment (preferably within Southeast Asia). You will excel in developing relationships with key stakeholders and be comfortable presenting and speaking to a diverse range of people. You are confident with and available to travel internationally on your own.

Whilst experience within the education sector is not essential, it would be advantageous if you had previous experience interacting with international students looking to study abroad and an understanding of entry requirements into universities in New Zealand.

While you focus on your own goals you will also be part of a wider team and will work alongside your colleagues to support their successes.

**The **International Recruitment Team**, which forms part of the **Future Students Team**, **is responsible for UC's International Student Recruitment, including agent management, recruitment and conversion. We also provide opportunities for international students from certain partner institutions to study part of their qualification in their home country and then complete it at UC through articulation agreements and dual degree programmes.
