**Job Description**:
**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

We are looking for a **Student Support and Experience Adviser** to join the Student Support and Engagement team, taking a pivotal role in supporting student retention and progression by ensuring our CAI students are well supported in all aspects of student life.

You will be responsible for providing tailored support to promote student engagement, retention, academic progression, and a positive experience for students within equity groups. You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to promote activities, projects and initiatives that support equity and strive to better understand the needs of our students in equity groups.

This is a **full-time** (37.5 hours per week), **permanent** opportunity.
The remuneration for this role is $56,600 - $70,600 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.

**Qualifications**:
**He kōrero mōu | About you**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Experience working in an environment requiring high levels of customer service delivery.
- Understanding of equity issues in New Zealand especially with relation to Māori and Pacific Island people.
- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft suite of programmes.
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience working with tertiary students or academics and providing pastoral care is preferable.
