Reporting into the Chapter Lead of Analytics Transformation & Delivery Excellence, you will take the lead within the Merchandise & Buying Analytics Squad.

**About the Role | Mō te Tūranga**:
As a member of the extended leadership group within the A&I team, your role is to drive scalable value from a range of analytics use cases harnessing the strengths and skills of the Merchandise & Buying Analytics Squad.

As the Analytics Lead, you will be managing the day-to-day workload of a highly technical analytics delivery squad. The Merchandise & Buying Analytics Squad’s mission is to drive value for money for customers through effective pricing and promotions as well as offering the range required for customers shopping in each store. You will work closely with our Merchandise stakeholders and Category Managers.

You are responsible for the delivery of all projects across the squad, the execution of BAU Analytics as well as ensuring urgent and important requests are responded to in a timely manner.

A key part of your role is balancing where team capacity is allocated ensuring the right amount of time is spent delivering business value today versus initiatives which improve our operations, remove complexity and “toil” associated with building, operating and maintaining analytics products and critical BAU processes.

You are the “2IC” to the Strategic Analytics Partner, you will ensure cross-squad dependencies and opportunities are well understood and you will proactively manage them through to a solution.

You are motivated by delivering incremental value through analytics products to our stakeholders and customers, as well as building a high performance team environment where our squad members are empowered and encouraged to grow.

As a member of the Analytics Transformation & Delivery Excellence Chapter, you will also contribute to the development and improvement of delivery excellence practices and processes that drive greater value for the business.

Your responsibilities:

- Works in close partnership with the Strategic Analytics Partner to deliver business focused outcomes
- Responsible for and drives the delivery of squad initiatives and running activities
- Leads the sprint and manages blockers and impediments
- Supports the rostered ATF team member to run best practice Agile ceremonies
- Ensures capacity in each sprint is allocated realistically and appropriately
- Supports the Strategic Partner to prepare quarterly increment and delivery plans
- Prepares key delivery artefacts e.g. sprintreports, DRUM Pack, Impact Report
- Proactively manages dependencies on other squads, specifically data engineering
- Ensures good practice approaches are being used to deliver different analytics activities and high quality of deliverables
- Embeds the Delivery Excellence Framework
